Meet Dr. Sutherland

Dr. Sutherland, a 22+ year veteran in the field, has a heart for delivering excellence in culturally sensitive mental health counseling and community education for the promotion of individual, family and community healing.
Within the last several years, Dr. Sutherland has provided training, researched, and published in the areas of racial trauma, counselor cultural competence development and training, provision of culturally-informed clinical intervention and supervision, and social justice advocacy.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Sutherland is an Associate Professor of Counseling, Director of the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and Dean of Assessment, Planning and Accreditation overseeing program and institutional accreditation at a local university. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia, a Board Certified Telemental Health Counselor (BC-TMH), and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
